1. Introduction

neat ("we", "our", "us") is a personal AI styling application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our iOS application and related services.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (securely hashed). You may optionally provide a display name, body type, and style preferences.

Wardrobe Data

Photos of clothing items you upload are stored securely. Our AI analyzes these images to detect garment attributes (color, category, material, pattern). The original images and AI-generated metadata are stored in your account.

AI Processing

When you use AI features (outfit generation, style chat, outfit analysis, virtual try-on, garment extraction), your data is processed by third-party AI services:

  • Anthropic (Claude) — processes garment images and text for analysis, outfit generation, and style chat
  • Google (Gemini) — processes images for virtual try-on generation

We send only the minimum data necessary for each operation. AI providers process data according to their respective privacy policies and do not use your data for training.

Location Data

If you grant permission, we access your approximate location solely to provide weather-based outfit recommendations. Location data is not stored.

Usage Data

We log AI operation types and timestamps for credit tracking purposes. We do not log the content of your AI interactions.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and improve our styling services
  • Generate personalized outfit recommendations
  • Manage your subscription and AI credits
  • Send service-related communications

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL database and secure file storage) hosted in the EU. All data transmission uses TLS/HTTPS encryption. Authentication is handled via Supabase Auth with JWT tokens.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • AI Service Providers (Anthropic, Google) — for AI feature processing
  • Supabase — for data storage and authentication
  • Apple — for subscription management via App Store
  • RevenueCat — for subscription state management

6. Your Rights

You can:

  • Access your data through the app (Profile, Closet)
  • Edit your profile and garment information at any time
  • Delete your account and all associated data from Settings
  • Export — contact us to request a data export

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data, garment images, and AI-generated content are permanently deleted within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

neat is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
